Finally realised one of my childhood dreams and was able to buy a NES (French PAL one) on Ebay, described as region-free.
Problem is, the image looks off. I don’t own a CRT TV and I won’t be able to get one, so I’m using a SCART rgb to HDMI adapter. I am not expecting things to look perfect, and I can deal with a few lines here and there. But this is quite bad.
Only red colour seems to be displayed well. Greens and blues are really pale, basically non existent, covered with scrolling rainbow coloured horizontal lines.
I’ve tried on multiple screens, with multiple converters, and the problem is always there.
Tried to look on the internet first what the problem could be, but I didn’t find anyone with the same problem except for one person who solved the problem by using a CRT - which is not a possibility for me.
Any idea of where it could come from
