Trying to diagnose what's going on here. The pics below are a plain SNES with SGB (no Game Genie, natch). The games play as normal on a DMG Gameboy, so it's not likely an issue with the carts' MBC or pins. Up until this point in SML no enemies are spawned and the enemies in that tunnel behave normally (it even plays the boss music!). In Space Invaders the swarm reaching the edge causes them to refresh alongside other nuttiness.
Is it likely a bad address pin in the SGB cart slot? Since the games are partly functional it follows that the 4000-7FFF range is unavailable and it's taking junk from the lower 16KB. However, Space Invaders has no problem uploading the included SNES game which runs fine. (For that matter the SNES works fine in general, including other games with co-processors). Any other ideas are appreciated.
The SNES is using an after-market power brick which is also NES compatible. Here're the figures in case they jump out as stop using immediately
In: AC 110-240V 60hz
Out: DC9V - 850mA
