Flash Board = Blue Screen

Hey guys! How is everyone doing?

Recently, I went back to homebrew development after a break of about a year or so. Previously, I had no issues in flashing my board and then running the code on my Famicom. However, since my return all I get from it is a blue screen (which is what you get if there is no cartridge inserted into the console and you switch it on).

After some detective work, here are the established facts:

Board: Retrostage's software detects, flashes to and dumps from the board itself without any issues.

Famicom: I've already tested a real cartridge and that runs perfectly fine.

ROM: After hours of examining the code (and the fact that it runs perfectly in WedNESday), I came to the conclusion that it couldn't possibly be that. I even flashed another ROM that I know already works but I still had the same problem.

However, since the board itself is 72-pin, I have to use an adapter to fit it into my 60-pin Famicom and I believe that this is the cause of the problem. I have included 2 photos below to demonstrate why.

In the first photo, one of the pins appears to have sustained some damage.

In the second photo, there appears to be some dirt running along the edge of the pins.

Could these 2 observations be the cause of the issue? If not, then what else could it be?
