Hi all,
Following the mmmonkey.co.uk guide for adding a switch to my Famicom for region modding, i've installed 2 switches in the back of my system for 60/50hz and enable/disable of the region lockout chip.
everything seems to be installed correctly but on 50hz the picture is flickering and black&white when running via composite/S-video on my Retrotink 5x, sadly i failed to realise this before installing the mod but apparently this is a thing that happens via Composite/S-Video and RGB/Component bypasses this?
What i want to find out is there anything further i can do to the board to get around this issue? i'm looking to sell this SFC within Australia so i was hoping to have it compatible with AUS/PAL games with the more common cables, i have looked abit into the SuperCIC as an option but sourcing one in Australia is proving difficult and i'm not even sure it'll fix the issue i'm having, no point in getting it if its gonna have the same color issue etc.
Thanks in advance for your help![Smile :)]()
