As I know, NES and PCE are use fixed color, 64 and 512. MD also uses latter, but RGB mixing, range is 0~7, much like PC-10 and VS. System.
SNES, GBC, and GBA are use 32768 colors, each R/G/B range is 0~31. Wait, PS1 also uses 32768 colors! However it uses highest bit for mask.
