Reviving a VT100 CRT

Received a board for a VT100 I've been tinkering on in the mail and have shifted my attention to that poor thing for a little while. Unfortunately it has gotten me precisely one step further.

The logical components of the terminal are fully functional from what I can tell, the keyboard works, I'm able to run a CVBS line out the back and the picture from that indicates all is well there. The CRT is another story. I replaced the driver board because there's a pretty badly burned component on it and I was getting no picture from the CRT. The only improvement I've seen is the filament in the electron gun is now visible in very dim light, so that means some sort of voltage is making it into the tube. If I leave it on for several minutes, it certainly starts to get a little warm, and I hear some rather uneasy noises I think coming from the flyback transformer. I'm like...part of the way there on CRT understanding, enough to keep some stuff alive, not enough to bring something back from beyond the grave like this.

Anyone here familiar with CRTs on this level? This VT100 is almost there...I just need that sweet sweet HV.
