I'm working on an NROM-256 game and would like to test it on real hardware - but preferably without having to constantly pull out EPROMS from their sockets into a programmer and back.
So I wonder if there is a flash cart of sorts for NROM-256? I don't mean an Everdrive, but something that's electrically identical to a real NROM-256 cartridge while also allowing to be flashed from a PC, either through the cartridge pins or through a separate USB connection (kinda like e.g., The Low-Cost Flash HuCard for PC Engine/Turbografx systems). I have a Mapper 30 development cartridge (the Nesmaker one made by RetroStage), but as said, I want something that's 100% like a real NROM-256 as far as the NES is concerned.
I could design my own, but before I do that, I figure I ask if something like that already exists.
