Hello
When I first learned of the audio expansion from the Famicom, I had my NES modified for that so I can enjoy whatever games that have that extra feature. I have a front loader that's already modded for that. Now I am taking a tricky journey to find an american reproduction cart that can play the expansion audio and english translated. Well I bought one from Etsy, Castlevania 3 of course, but the audio is off. It does play the extra sounds but that's all it can do. I had wondered if my console was modded wrong, but no its not the console. I asked the seller, it has the vrc6 chip like its supposed to, but it just won't sound 100% like the famicom game. So I was wondering if you know if the game itself can ever play exactly like the famicom game?
If not, then do I have to get the famicom cartridges with the adapter to have it modded and play perfectly like that? Along with Metroid and the two Legend of Zelda games?
If that's the case, then my main question to anyone who can do romhacking, can anyone also change the in-game title from Japanese to its original English title for Metroid and the two zelda games? Its so it can be downloaded and put on cartridge.
Please tell me all you know on what I have to do to get what I want. Thank you.
