I purchased off ebay a "working" NES front loader, but it is not working, and I have been unable to find set of procedures on proper debugging and cleaning steps for the NES.
From my searching and reading, issues are more often than not the 72 pin connector. I keep reading about "boiling" the connector - this does not feel right to me. Other times it is "clean" it with alcohol, but not a specific cleaning tool and procedure. Given the narrow opening and forked connector tips, I am hesitant to brush or swab them laterally (as so many videos show).
Is there a proper tutorial on cleaning the connector?
